What you need to do to get DivX in Firefox Portable is to copy three key files to the folder for Firefox Portable's plugins. To do so, follow these steps:
If You Already Have DivX Plus on Your Computer
- Close Firefox Portable if it's open.
- Copy the files npdivx32.dll, npdivx32.tlb, and npdivx32.xpt from C:\Program Files\DivX\DivX Web Player to ..\FirefoxPortable\Data\plugin
- Start Firefox Portable and test.
- Download DivX Plus.
- Close Firefox Portable.
- Either install DivX Plus or extract the contents of the installer. To extract the contents, download the portable app called Universal Extractor by going to this FAQ page at The Portable Freeware Collection, reading the very first FAQ on that page regarding extracting files from an installer, and following the directions contained therein.
- Copy the files npdivx32.dll, npdivx32.tlb, and npdivx32.xpt from C:\Program Files\DivX\DivX Web Player if you installed DivX, or, if you extracted the installer's contents, from ..\DivX\DivX Web Player to ..\FirefoxPortable\Data\plugin
- Start Firefox Portable and test.
