How to Easily Access Bookmarks in Google Chrome

Google's innovative web browser, Chrome, immediately grabbed a decent share of the browser market because of its lightweight and easy-to-use design. However, while many of its innovations make surfing easier, its minimalistic design makes quickly accessing bookmarks not that easy to do.  Fortunately, there is an easy way to improve the way you access bookmarks in Chrome.

First, locate the the shortcut you use to get to launch Chrome; check your desktop, start menu, quick launch bar, etc. Then right-click on that shortcut and go to properties. Next, in the target box hit the "end" button to place the cursor at the end of the line, after the path, and append  --bookmark-menu to the end of the line, leaving a space after the path.  Then apply. It should look like this after you're done:

As you can see from the screen capture, this will work with Chrome Portable, too.

If you have Chrome open, close it and use the shortcut you just edited to reopen it.  Now look at the toolbar just beside the address bar.  Yes, there's a new button with a star on there that looks like this:

That button, when clicked, will display your shortcuts quickly and easily.
