How to Use Excel to Calculate Workdays Between Events

Excel lets you calculate business days (days not counting weekends) between two events. To do so, use the NETWORKDAYS function. For example,


You can account for holidays, too, by entering them in a range and including that in the formula:


In this case, "holidays" is the name of the range containing the dates of holidays to exclude.
