Excel 2007 Disable Recent Documents List

Here's how to disable the recently used file list in Excel 2007:
  1. Click the Office button at the upper left.
  2. Click the Excel Options button.
  3. Click on Advanced in the left hand options column.
  4. Scroll down to Display and in the Show This Number of Recent Documents box, change the number to zero (0). Then click the OK button at the lower right.
