Combine GMail Filters

GMail has many great features, including a robust filtering function.  You can, for instance, have all emails regarding tech be labled as "technology."

Instead of creating a filter for each sender, you can group similar ones.  For instance, instead of having one filter for store1.com and another for store2.com, you could combine them into a single filter this way:

(store1.com OR store2.com)

Nice way to streamline your filters.  After putting work into combining them, consider enabling the Google Lab feature that lets you export your filters; that way you'll have a backup in case something happens or if you want to open another GMail account and have similar filtering.
